Food allergies, preferences, and dietary restrictions might make it hard to eat at Taco Bell, but you can always make up a batch of tacos with your Suitcase Kitchen. There are lots of ways to go about building yours out and this class is designed to inspire and educate you to make those calls. We'll share recipes, strategies, and the tricks of the traveling chef.
Patrick Nelson loves food and drink. He grows it, cooks it, talks about it, rocks it*, works with it. He owns, operates, and lives on a farm in northwest, Washington. And he believes that our connection to food is a critical part of our health, social life, ecology and general well being.
As Brown Paper Tickets’ Food and Beverage Specialist, Patrick is on a mission. He has traveled the country helping restaurateurs and chefs set up events. He partners with community centers and teaches cooking classes and how to put on cooking classes. Filmed and launched a video interview series featuring farmers, brewers, specialty food purveyors, activists and food enthusiasts everywhere. For his next big project, he’ll take his ‘Kitchen in a Suitcase’ around the country to show travelers how to have home-cooked deliciousness on the road. Want best practices on a cooking class?
