IGDA Chicago is excited to announce a first-of-its-kind event, IGDA Chicago Presents: Extra Life 2017, taking place at 2112, in partnership with Wargaming Chicago, Phosphor Studios, Raw Thrills, Jackbox Games, and I Play Games! The event will take place over 24 hours between 1pm CST on November 4th to 1pm November 5th, and is open to the public. Tickets for the event are $15 for the full 24 hours, which includes 2 meals.
As a part of the event, Wargaming Chicago, Phosphor Studios, Raw Thrills, Jackbox Games, and I Play Games! will all have employees present at the event, demoing games, streaming, and participating in raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through Extra Life. Lunch and dinner will be provided on November 4th, graciously provided by Phosphor Studios and Raw Thrills.
Several of the participating studios will be streaming live during the event from their Twitch channels. The IGDA Chicago Twitch channel will also be hosting these streams throughout the event, as well as interviews and room-cameras. Anyone interesting in participating can purchase tickets through the IGDA Eventbrite page. Come and meet people from the participating studios, play games, and help raise money for Extra Life Miracle Network. Any participant can bring their own hardware to play/stream games as well!
