The world of music publishing is much more besides getting your artist's album on Spotify or sent to ASCAP. There are dozens of things to consider that could be the difference in hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in missed opportunities. Managers, labels, and DIY artists need to know the ins and outs of things like composition, copyright, Harry Fox and other rights management companies, royalties, mechanical licenses, syncing and more! Get the rundown from our panel of experts bringing multiple perspectives to the stage.

Panelists:
Cam Jackson is a music executive from born and raised in Chicago, IL. He cut his teeth in the music industry managing perennial Chicago artist King Louie in 2009. He soon expanded and started working with DJ’s and producers. Specifically DJ Oreo, DJ Victoriouz, and C Sick. Recently he and his partner Elz The DJ started a new firm called Fair Taste Co. Their first client LilJuMadeDaBeat is responsible for creating Megan Thee Stallion’s sound and has produced her hit songs “Cash Shit and Big Ole Freak”. They just inked a 7 figure administration publishing deal with Sony ATV for Lil Ju. Throughout that process he submerged himself in the world of music publishing. Armed with this information he and Fair Taste are ready to advocate for the rights of creatives everywhere.
