His passion for empowering artists and small business owners is built on 20 years of experience as a musician, educator, and business owner. He believes that everyone — especially those building careers outside the traditional path — deserves access to quality financial guidance.
With firsthand experience managing irregular income and balancing personal and professional goals, John understands the unique challenges that come with creative and entrepreneurial work. He’s a firm believer that with the right plan, consistent discipline, and enough time, financial independence is within reach for everyone. His approach combines strategy, empathy, and real-world insight in every client relationship.
A graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, John built a successful performance career and music education business before transitioning into financial services. His travels as a musician sparked a deep appreciation for culture and connection — even inspiring him to study and learn Spanish.
Now in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood, he stays active in the local music and art communities. Outside of work, he enjoys playing multiple instruments professionally, composing and recording music, vegetarian cooking, exercising, and traveling with his wife.
