2112 Announces Dell for Startups Creator Studios

Posted By: Scott Fetters

2112 has partnered with Dell for Startups on the development of two new studios focused on graphic design, video editing, and audio production, with additional support provided by Shure and Karp Designs

Complementing the Comcast Business Startup Studio launched in 2021, the studios will provide access to professional equipment and software for editing and production to the 2112 community and are equipped with Dell Precision workstations, Adobe Creative Suite, and Ableton Live.

“In the fusion of technology and creativity, we unlock boundless possibilities, where innovation becomes an art form and imagination transforms into reality”, said Marcus Devane, Sr. Business Development Manager at Dell for Startups.

The Creator Studios will also be used for training programs led by Who’z the Boss Music, Inc. and ISPro Academy with a focus on engaging underserved and historically marginalized creatives.  The Center for Creative Entrepreneurship will be providing business resources to help maximize the impact of content created and will be providing free studio access to members of the CCE Music Cohort.  Working with local university and trade school partners, paid editing and production opportunities will be created for students while they further develop their skills and portfolios.

“We are excited to open the Creator Studios in partnership with Dell for Startups,” said Scott Fetters, Director of 2112. “This partnership furthers 2112 and the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship’s missions to support Chicago’s creative community with the physical and educational resources needed for business success.”
