Posted By: Scott Fetters

The Richard L. Duchossois Foundation announced its support for the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship as part of its second round of grantee partners dedicated to expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and advancing inclusive economic growth across Chicago.

Grounded in the belief that the city’s most persistent social challenges can be addressed through innovation, diligence, and collaborative action, the RLD Foundation continues to invest in organizations creating measurable, lasting impact. Guided by the values of its founder, Richard L. Duchossois, the Foundation focuses its philanthropy on three core areas: Veterans, Entrepreneurs, and Strong Families.

Entrepreneurship remains a powerful pathway to economic mobility, particularly when founders have equitable access to capital, knowledge, and supportive infrastructure. Through its Entrepreneurs portfolio, the Foundation prioritizes initiatives that equip aspiring business owners with the tools needed to launch, sustain, and grow resilient enterprises.

The Center for Creative Entrepreneurship exemplifies this mission by empowering creatives at all levels with the skills, resources, and relationships necessary for business success. Through training programs, mentorship, and community building, CCE helps transform creative talent into viable, sustainable ventures that contribute to Chicago’s broader economy.

“Creative entrepreneurs are vital drivers of innovation, cultural vitality, and neighborhood economic health,” said Scott Fetters, founder of the Center for Creative Entrepreneurship. “Support from the Richard L. Duchossois Foundation allows us to reach more creatives, provide practical entrepreneurial training, and build the relationships that turn passion into sustainable livelihoods. Together, we are helping Chicago’s creative community become a powerful engine for inclusive economic growth.”

As part of its second cohort of grantee partners, the RLD Foundation is supporting organizations whose missions align with expanding access to opportunity, strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems, and fostering long-term stability for individuals and families across the region.

Through strategic philanthropy and collaborative partnerships, the Foundation continues to advance solutions that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create lasting change throughout Chicago.
